Autumn Family Foraging Day

Come as a family to learn how to make some winter herbal remedies with the abundant hedgerow berries available at this time. Autumn is the time for deep nourishment, building up our stores of nutrients and supporting our immune systems ready for the cold months ahead. Along with the last few wild greens we have such an abundant variety of healing foods and medicines at this time of year. We will gather and fill our baskets together in the morning and make food and medicine around the fire in the afternoon. Alice will talk through the medicinal and nutritional elements of each of the plants as well as giving many recipe suggestions and an email will be sent with some basic botany teaching guides alongside seasonal recipes to help you along on your foraging journey.  You might take home a hedgerow tonic or enjoy some wild hedgerow syrup as well as picking up some fire by friction tips

These days are also run as an alternative to the popular Herbal Home-Ed programme, for those that are only available on weekends or unable to commit to the year programme.
